Archipel: Journal of Indonesian Interdisciplinary Studies is committed to maintaining high academic and ethical standards in its publication process. This section outlines the journal’s policies on open access, publication ethics, archival systems, and copyright to ensure transparency, integrity, and accessibility of scholarly content.
Archipel: Journal of Indonesian Interdisciplinary Studies provides immediate open access to all its content, based on the principle that freely available research fosters a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely accessible without charge to users or institutions, in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles without prior permission from the publisher or author, provided proper attribution is given.

Archipel: Journal of Indonesian Interdisciplinary Studies upholds rigorous ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, and reviewers.
All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, with a maximum similarity limit of 25%. Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software before submission. The editorial team uses Turnitin to screen all submitted articles for plagiarism.
Archipel: Journal of Indonesian Interdisciplinary Studies participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to ensure long-term digital preservation of its content. These systems create a distributed archiving network, storing journal content across multiple institutions to guarantee accessibility and security for future generations, even in the event of unforeseen disruptions.
This commitment ensures that all published articles remain permanently available, supporting the journal’s mission to advance global knowledge exchange. The archival process also integrates with indexing services such as DOAJ and Google Scholar to enhance discoverability.
All articles published in Archipel: Journal of Indonesian Interdisciplinary Studies are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the original source.
By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) grant the journal the right to publish the article in various formats, including digital and print (where applicable), and to archive and distribute it through the journal platform and third-party databases and indexing services such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, and other indexing services.
