General Requirements

This section outlines the basic eligibility criteria for manuscript submission.

  1. Manuscripts submitted must be original works, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.
  2. By submitting a manuscript, authors are deemed to have agreed to all publication ethics policies set by Karsa: Jurnal Dinamika Masyarakat.
  3. Authors bear full responsibility for the authenticity of data, citations, and the use of supporting materials (images, tables, instruments, or third-party data) with proper authorization.

Manuscript Format

These are the technical formatting rules to ensure consistency across all submissions.

  1. Manuscripts must be written on A4-sized paper (210 × 297 mm).
  2. Use single-column layout, Times New Roman font, 11pt size, with 2 cm margins on all sides.
  3. Paragraph spacing should be single-spaced.
  4. Maximum manuscript length is 6,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

Manuscript Structure

This section outlines the required components of the manuscript and how each should be presented.

  1. Title: Must be concise, clear, and informative. Avoid abbreviations or formulas.
  2. Author Identity: Author details must not be included in the main manuscript file but only in the metadata.
  3. Abstract: Written in English, concise and factual, covering objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. The abstract must be separate from the main manuscript. References should not be included unless absolutely necessary (author name and year only). Avoid uncommon abbreviations unless defined upon first use.
  4. Introduction: Includes background, research/article objectives, and the urgency of the study. Should be brief and avoid detailed presentation of research findings.
  5. Methods: Describes methodology, data collection techniques, procedures, and analysis used. Relevant references must be cited, especially if methods are modified.
  6. Results and Discussion: Presented in an integrated, clear, and concise manner. Discussion should emphasize the meaning and implications of the findings, not merely repeat data presentation. Avoid lengthy quotations.
  7. Conclusion: Presented briefly, concisely, and focused on the core findings of the research/article.
  8. References: In the article should cite the last name and year. If citing from some authors, it should be ordered based on the most recent reference. If citing from the article written by two authors, then all authors' names should be cited. Meanwhile, if citing from the article written by three or more authors, then it is cited by writing the first author's name followed by et al. Citation should be written in the reference part. Every cited reference should be written completely in the reference part. Unpublished reference is not suggested to be cited in the article. Reference should be written according to the format of reference. This journal requires a minimum of 30 references with a composition of 80% in the last 5 years cited from reputable international journals.
  9. Acknowledgments (optional): Directed to parties who provided support, such as funding, facilities, or significant contributions to the research/article.
  10. Conflict of Interest Statement (optional): Authors must explicitly declare whether any potential conflicts of interest exist related to the submitted research/article.

Review Process

This section details how manuscripts are evaluated and the timeline for each stage.

  1. Manuscripts will be immediately rejected by the editor without review if:

    • Research objectives are not clearly defined.
    • Findings do not contribute to scientific development.
