About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing the development, application, and evaluation of educational innovations, both within Indonesia and in global contexts. The journal serves as an academic forum for the exchange of ideas, research findings, and best practices that aim to enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and educational policy.

The journal welcomes empirical research articles, theoretical studies, literature reviews, and policy analyses addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:

1. Innovations in Teaching and Learning Processes
   • Innovative teaching methods and learning strategies.
   • Project-based, collaborative, and inquiry-driven learning models.
   • Development of 21st-century skills (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration).

Publication Frequency

The journal is published every January, April, July, and October. There are at least 20 articles published per year.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Submission Fee: None. There are no charges for submitting a manuscript to Pijar.
Processing Fee: Rp.150,000–Rp.700,000 (approximately USD 45, subject to exchange rates). This fee covers:

• Editorial and peer review processes
• Copyediting, typesetting, and formatting for publication
• Hosting and maintenance of the journal’s online platform
• Long-term preservation through digital archiving services
• Assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), if applicable

Copyright Notice

Authors retain copyright of their work, with Journal Pijar granted first publication rights. All published articles are licensed under CC BY 4.0, allowing others to share and adapt the work with appropriate credit to the author and journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring their submissions do not infringe on third-party copyrights.

Privacy Statement

Journal Pijar is committed to protecting the privacy of authors, reviewers, and readers. Personal information, such as names and email addresses, collected during submission or review processes is used solely for editorial purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

Archival System

Journal Pijar participates in the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure long-term digital preservation of its content. This guarantees that the journal’s articles remain accessible and secure for future generations, even in the event of unforeseen disruptions.
