Open Access Policy

Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia provides immediate open access to all its content, based on the principle that freely available research fosters a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely accessible without charge to users or institutions, in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles without prior permission from the publisher or author, provided proper attribution is given.

Publication Process

Publication Ethics

Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia upholds rigorous ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, and reviewers.

Duties of Authors

• Accuracy and Integrity: Authors must present their research truthfully and objectively, including sufficient methodological details and references to allow replication. Misrepresentation or fabrication of results is unethical.
• Data Transparency: Authors should provide access to underlying research data for editorial verification when requested, within a reasonable timeframe.
• Originality and Proper Citation: Manuscripts must be original works. Any use of others’ ideas, data, or words must be properly cited or quoted.
• Avoidance of Redundant Publication: Submitting the same or substantially similar work to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical.
• Acknowledgment of Contributions: Relevant scholarly works and contributions from others must be duly recognized.
• Authorship Criteria: Authorship is reserved for those who have made substantial contributions to the study’s conception, design, execution, or interpretation. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors, and others may be acknowledged. The corresponding author ensures all co-authors consent to submission.
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Authors must declare any financial or personal conflicts of interest and disclose all sources of research funding.
• Correction of Errors: If significant errors are discovered post-publication, authors must notify the editor promptly and cooperate in retracting or correcting the article.
• Ethical Considerations in Research: Authors must identify potential hazards in their research, especially involving human participants, animals, or dangerous chemicals/procedures.

Duties of Editors

• Fair and Impartial Assessment: Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on scholarly merit, without discrimination based on authors’ personal attributes or beliefs.
• Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential, sharing them only with reviewers and advisory board members.
• Conflict of Interest and Integrity: Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research without explicit written consent from the authors.
• Publication Responsibility: The editorial board decides which manuscripts to publish based on academic significance, originality, and journal policy, while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, with a maximum similarity limit of 25%. Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software before submission. The editorial team uses Turnitin to screen all submitted articles for plagiarism.

Archival System

Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to ensure long-term digital preservation of its content. These systems create a distributed archiving network, storing journal content across multiple institutions to guarantee accessibility and security for future generations, even in the event of unforeseen disruptions.

This commitment ensures that all published articles remain permanently available, supporting the journal’s mission to advance global knowledge exchange. The archival process also integrates with indexing services such as DOAJ and Google Scholar to enhance discoverability.

All articles published in Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to share, copy, adapt, and distribute the work in any medium or format, provided appropriate credit is given to the author and the journal, and the use is for non-commercial purposes.

Upon submission, authors assign the journal the right to publish their article in various forms, including digital and print (if applicable). This includes the right to archive and disseminate the article through the journal’s platform and third-party databases such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, and other indexing services. Authors retain the copyright of their work and are free to reuse their articles in other publications, provided they acknowledge that the article was first published in Pijar: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Indonesia.
