Authors who publish in Archipel agree to the following terms:

- Authors keep the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, and build upon the work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, as long as the author and the journal are properly credited.

- Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for the journal-published version of the work — for example, depositing it in an institutional repository or republishing it in a book — provided that the original publication in Archipel is acknowledged.

- Authors are encouraged to post their work online (in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and during the submission process.
